The August challenge of drawing is continuing and the next prompt will be posted as usual at 12 noon. You can wait until after reading that to begin this prompt – or use an image you have already produced.
This prompt is a chance to use some of the lines you made at some point over the last two weeks and create an abstract stitching. You will need a ‘mask’ (to prepare this simply cut a 3 inch square in a piece of paper) and some means of tracing.
Use any completed drawing that has several images on top of each other.
Choose an area that looks interesting. Cover with tracing type paper and place your mask on top. Draw the lines onto the tracing paper.
Transfer these onto a piece of fabric and stitch the lines using a variety of hand stitches.
