Just a couple of Grannies!

Crochet Along With Me

You may have seen these on Instagram a couple or so days ago. Two identical grannies left over from a previous project. Such a waste! What to do with them?

I had an idea that was worth a try. It may not be original, but I haven’t seen anything quite like it – and it worked, and here’s the result.

A pair of fingerless gloves fit for a Princess! Modelled by our own little 8 year old Princess who now owns her own version.

The above are listed on Etsy if anyone is interested. Ideal for a stocking filler.

Five Colour Friday

Crochet Along With Me

Today’s Five Colour Friday has a definite Autumnal feel.

Five colours from the Stylecraft Special DK range. They go together very well – with just a little splash of contrast to bring the combination alive.

Together they make a particularly striking blanket.

Lobelia, Citron, Spice, Copper and Tomato

Tomato makes a lovely joining colour. If you want to vary the position of the colours a total of 120 different combinations is possible. They will make a stunning blanket whichever style or stitch you use – maybe a corner to corner, or a ripple blanket. Vary the placement or use in rotation.

Don’t forget, let me know if you use the combination and use the hashtag #nuvofeltfivecolours  If you make use of it I hope you will let me know either below or on instagram.   You can find all posts in this series via this link.

October is almost done!

Crochet Along With Me

The squares for the Spirit of October are complete – apart from the ends, of course.

The joining has begun, and it won’t be too long before I can start on the border.

I tried to take a photo, but it’s a very dull day! I’ll be working on it again tomorrow.

Come back tomorrow and I’ll tell you about my ‘secret’ project. It won’t be finished any time soon, but I did promise to tell you once October was finshed.
